Support the Next Generation of Artists and Designers
Every year, the Visual Arts & Design Academy (VADA) gives more than 200 students at Santa Barbara High School a powerful experience--connecting them with their innate creativity, and equipping them to take newfound skills into the workforce and the world. The Give from the ‘ART Annual Campaign fuels our program and we need your help.
Give What You Can
To provide the programs our kids need to thrive and succeed, we need more than tax dollars can provide. Due to the California Department of Education and the Santa Barbara Unified School District matching grant agreement, VADA must raise one-third of its funding from the community every year. Our goal this year is to raise $100,000. That sounds like a lot, but if families and supporters give what they can, together we will make a difference in the lives of all VADA students. Every donation matters, so please give what you can.
Providing Opportunities Through Art
The Visual Arts & Design Academy (VADA) at Santa Barbara High School is a place where young artists grow, explore, and discover their voices. Every year, our students step into the studio with big ideas and bold creativity. With your support, they gain the tools, mentorship, and experiences they need to thrive.
Your Donation Will
- Provide essential art supplies that fuel imagination
- Fully fund the 9th grade program (not supported by the State of California)
- Underwrite student events that showcase VADA students’ efforts and achievement, including the Spring Art Show and VADA Graduation
- Provide administrative support for every student
When you give to VADA, you invest in a vibrant future for our students and in the cultural life of our community.
One-time and monthly online donations are accepted. To make a donation by mail, send checks made payable to Friends of VADA to: PO Box 4426 Santa Barbara, CA 93140. Federal Tax ID #73-1646663
Please give what you can.
Santa Barbara Unified School District (SBUSD) requires the following statement:
California law and SBUSD board policies require that the donations used to fund school-related activities be truly voluntary. No student will be excluded from participating in any school-related activities because the student or their parents has not made a donation. Any suggested donation amount is also voluntary. If you choose to make a donation, you can make it any amount you deem appropriate. No donations will be returned to you if your child decides or is unable to participate in the program to which you donate.
